This has bothered me for awhile, but I kept forgetting to say anything.

I had notice him doing late night infomercials about penis enlargement and stock trading schemes. Also his appearance on survivor has me wondering if he is having financial troubles or is just willing to do anything for a buck.

What's so unique about that - Jim Nantz is hawking FloTV (although the commerical is hilarious), Pat Summerall sells financial services, Michael Strahan sells Dr. Pepper, Howie Long sells Chevy Trucks (even though his pre-game show is sponsored by Ford), and then there's Madden...

Maybe these were the only companies that think Jimmy Johnson fits into their targeted demographic. Maybe he thought appearing on "Survivor" would be fun (he wouldn't have done it unless the suits at Fox gave their OK). Who knows what the motivation is? If they're paying him a boat-load of $, and he nor the suits at Fox are not embarassed about his commercials - more power to him.

I am a big NASCAR fan and I often shop or look at the souvenir trailers at the races.

When Mark Martin was sponsored by Viagra there were expensive leather jackets with Viagra on them. I still see them at the races.

I never could understand why someone would buy them?

If you google Better Trades, or Extenze, you'll find that most people regard these as scams. Why would he associate himself with these products until he just needs the money? Those product endorsements by other atletes aren't as sleazy as what Jimmy endorses.
