change on back page
I tried to edit my ad today on backpage, just needed to update my availabilty. I had a message pop up to notify I had "violated their terms".
I noticed on my ad they edited out my donation so that's what they call a violation now. I also noticed most of the other ads dont list donations, a few still do, so I suppose they are still editing ads. I really dont like to discuss donations or anything on the phone so this is a big bummer.

I haven't had any problems posting. Are you putting your hourly rates only? I think that is all their allowing us to do these days.
No more advertising "quickies" or anything like that I suppose.

Oh MsElena, if only all the ladies here were as smart as you! Your comment does nothing to address Stacy's orginal post. It only gives you another chance to show your smug ass.

Swarmy,
You really are an unhappy man. You'll take a shot at me and insult me any chance you get. I will admit, I'm flattered by the attention you give me. Thank you, nice to know that I'm on your mind that much.
Now to address the problem that Stacy seems to have that I guess my answer didn't help. Stacy, BP clearly states that on one of the pages before you consent to advertising with them that they no longer accept rates, etc.....
My comment to having a website would be a good idea is just that, a good idea. Then you don't have to filter through tons of emails or phone calls.
Elena

Everyone: Please start treating each other with respect and let's not try to stir the pot. I think we'd all agree that it's been stirred enough. Please don't make us have to assign points and stuff. That's not fun for anyone.
Thanks

Actually they do accept rates but they have to be a minimum of one hour. You also have to be more careful of what type of wording you use as well in your ads. I have not had any problems with my ads. They are cracking down on well know terms and abbreviations.

Funny they only allow a minimum of 1 hr. Must be a preference of their staff not to see anyone for less than an hour. :-)

Any suggestions for when you're told from the Vice President of Backpage that "Your URL received too many complaints from users and is no longer allowed [on Backpage]"? I didn't even know there was a way to complain about a specific website.

Craigslist did this exact same thing in the weeks prior to their "pulling the plug" on their adult listings . . IMHO it is all political maneuvering . . Backpage has apparently (from what I'm reading and hearing from people across the US) started to "weed out" the Agencies and independents that they feel will cause them unnecessary risk with various Attorney Generals and law enforcement departments by denying them the ability to place an advertisement. The "complaint" issue (although a possibility, as your ads may have been "flagged" by others enough to cause Backpage to "disallow" your URL) is most likely smoke and mirrors to deflect you from the fact that they want to limit liability rather than accept your money for placing an advertisement. In my personal experience with Backpage in the recent past if you register a new account using a different email address and use a different credit card, you'll get your ad up if you: a) don't use the EF phone number if you have in the past - use of that number will prevent the ad from being placed by their automated systems if your information has been previously flagged (and it appears from your post it has) b) use a static IP address to link to your Website rather than using the name in the link and c) change the title/wording of the ads so that they are not kicked out by use of the term "EF".
Good luck -
Kisses,
- Jackie

I think EF using forms on a BP ad for setting dates/times and selecting girls might have flagged them.

they said i violated their terms, but when i posted that ad everybody was listing all types of rates, or donations. they removed the part that said"donation 200"thats all it said, i didnt say hour, half hr, quickie, or even put a dollar sign in front. i tried to go back and make an edit, just to update my availability, but i'm not allowed to because of my violation.

There was a recent injuction against Limewire that may shed some light on what is happening with the adult classified websites. The adult classified websites have operated under the theory that they were not liable for third party submissions or content from advertisers. I'm not a lawyer, and maybe a lawyer here can give more insight, but it appears that the court ruling against Limewire may have set a precedent challenging that theory .
Here is a link to the injunction documents. http://download.limewire.com/injunction/Injunction.pdf
Limewire had used a similar approach as to their liabilty, "we are just the middleman and can accept no resposibilty for what our users do legal or illegal". The timing of the injunction against Limewire and the timing of the adult classified sites action seem to coincide. And hey, let's through in an election season to add some extra heat and publicity.

Assigning points is the only way you can hope to get it to stop.
