Can someone explain this...was the date so boring that you have to add this to seem like something happened.

I'll take a shot at your first query, BD...
First of all, obviously, this all depends on what the hobbyist is looking for. If the hobbyist is, frankly, only looking for a nut depository, he probably doesn't care if the provider can say two coherent words. He is paying them to leave.
If, however, the hobbyist is looking for
any kind of human interaction with the opposite sex, a little (even somewhat) intelligent conversation from the provider is refreshing. Tell me a story... make me laugh... make me at least crack a smile... be entertaining!
If a young lady can demonstrate those qualities, I think it's good that the hobbyist includes that in his comments, whether they are reflected in the
Activities section as "Convo", or delineated in the
ROS.
I've got no problem in seeing that as a listed activity.
I agree with you on Items 2 & 3, though, Big Deal.
Regarding the 4th "clock watcher" statement... it depends on what type of clock the provider is using. If she's using a Rolex... well, those cheap things stop at the most inopportune moments! If, however, she's using a Timex..? Well, they are
totally reliable!
