If you like pizza, I highly recommend Grimaldi's. I am unsure of the address, I can't imagine it being that difficult to find online. It is my fave pizza spot arnd.
Enjoy..

			Celeste,
Not far form downtown there are four great spots I know first hand:

Smoke: The original spot near downtown is best. Great for dinner or lunch Fabulous Sunday brunch. http://smokerestaurant.com/
The Meddlesome Moth: Fun place, great craft beer selections. http://www.mothinthe.net/
Rodeo Goat: Great burger joint. Casual. Fire pit patio at night. http://www.rodeogoat.com/
Eatzi's: Take out or eat in. Excellent food, deli style. Oaklawn location. http://eatzis.com/
Good luck!

Grimaldi's is right off of Lemmon and McKinney Avenue. Fan-fucking-tastic pizza and salads and antipasto.

I also have to give a big thumbs up to Eatzi's. Also... if you want something a little off the beaten path, Jimmy's Meat Market has an excellent array of sandwiches and a tiny little dining room in the back. A hidden gem of Dallas.

			Hi Celeste,
If you like Mediterranean food, try Pera Wine Bistro at 2633 McKinney Avenue... It is new and very good...

Luscher's Red Hots at 2653 is amazing - Chicago-style hot dogs, burgers and sandwiches..

I had lunch at Texas Land & Cattle earlier this week and the have a new steak sandwich - The TEX-SIN - and it is awesome... Perfect for lunch...

Not uptown, but Pecan Lodge is in Deep Ellum, a short drive away. In Uptown, CrushCraft Thai Street Food in the Quadrangle is very good. Si Lom is a Thai place on Oak Lawn. Not sure if they're open for lunch. Nothing fancy, but Taco Diner in West Village is fine and has excellent salsas. S&D Oyster Company on McKinney has been around for years and is very good. I think S&D is better, but there's a Papadeaux's Seafood on Oaklawn. Across form it is Snookie's Burgers. Katy Trial Ice House is open for lunch. Nothing outstanding, but a nice place to sit on a pretty day. I eat lunch there a couple of times a month.
Ziziki on Travis across from Cafe Madrid has decent Greek and Turkish food. Toulouse Cafe on Knox is quite good, especially the sole (albeit a bit pricey). Harry's Hot Dogs and Custard on Knox is decent. On McKinney just around the corner from Harry's you have LaDuni for central and south American food. La Bibloquet in next door to Ziziki. A bit pricey but very good. I eat there several times a month. Coal Vines Pizza at the corner of Maple & Cedar Springs.

The Elbow Room -- Awesome stuffed meatballs and more. Lunch specials too! Kitchen closes at 1am.
Parking is across the street and along the curb. It's located on the edge of Deep Ellum on Gaston, wedged between Fire Dept #3 and Baylor Hospital. ** Dog-friendly patio!

State & Allen Kitchen + Bar -- Good drinks and appetizers. Specials throughout the week; check their website. $3 Thursday Martinis are yum!

If you like sports and watching people, it's a great place for gathering with your buddies for fun times.

You can find it in Uptown at the intersection of State @ Allen. Parking is along the curb and the parking garage is around the corner. ** Dog-friendly too with outdoor tables & chairs!
