Say I wanted to hook up my laptop to my TV to watch a movie or play video games off the TV screen, what kind of cord would I need for that? Thanks in advance.

More than likely you will need an HDMI cable to connect between your laptop and TV. Most modern tvs and laptops have a port for this so you just need the wire and you're good to go

If you have a MacBook or MacBook Pro, you will also need an adapter. Now if your laptop and your tv have Bluetooth capability. You can connect via Bluetooth

What type of laptop do you happen to have? It might have a micro HDMI port instead of a normal HDMI port, in which case all you would need is a micro HDMI to HDMI cable. However, without the laptop in question, it would be hard to say what else could be done

Not sure how helpful that article will be but it goes through several options. If you don't have an HDMI slot on your laptop you might need a VGA.

Get a Google Chromecast then you can mirror your pc

+1 on the chromecast... You can stream content from your phone or laptop without wires.
