If you haven't done so already get out tonight and take a look at the full moon. Simply astonishing. It hasn't been this close to earth in 18 years.

IMO a site to see.

So correct teacher! The Moon is glorious this evening isn't it? It's almost as if you could reach out and touch it! Sigh!

Went out at 12am, looked like any other full moon.

I actually went out to view it at 8:26pm, when it was in the eastern horizon and stayed out for an hour or so.

Unfortunately, by the time you went out it most likely was further away towards the south.

Im sorry you missed it. I was just in awe while gazing. Planojim was right on the spot when he said, "it's almost as if you could reach out and touch it".

Teacher was right (as usual..lol) The moom was much more distinctive in the early evening. However, even around midnight the moons clarity and sharpness seem much brighter than normal. It was like art. Every masterpiece is seen differently.
