Unstoppable was more believable! Railroads are the biggest
corporate welfare queens in the country. Always have been always will be. The robber barons got hundreds of millions of acres of land grants to start them and continue to get hundreds of millions of dollars today. The only universe where that didn't happen is in Rand's book of fiction.
Where is your U.S. Steel industry today? ...a little too much free market, huh?
Corporations (starting with banks and railroads) grabbed all the rights of a U.S. Citizen with none of the responsibilities. They changed the laws so they get to live forever, but never go to jail or get executed for their crimes (dissolved).
Who is John Galt? He might be a corporation. He siphons taxpayers dollars and keeps the profit for himself.
Or, John Galt might be a union leader. He does organize a group of individuals to go on strike, after all.
Speaking of strikes...if Atlas can shrug, why can't regular working folk shrug? Say...teachers or legislators in Wisconsin? Is only Atlas allowed to shrug?
...mumble mumble mumble idiotic hypocrites!...mumble mumble mumble...
