My new job is keeping WAY too busy and I haven't had fun in a while. Anyone know of any fun, lower key places that have just down to earth fun people? If I dont get out I am going to go crazy!

I dont mind a little bit of a drive but not too far from dallas.

cohorn- lol.. thats ok. I am familiar with Mckinney (lived in plano for ten years) so I was thinking it might be worth the drive but I will wait and see if any others pop up first. Just so you know there is a little bar in dowtown mckinney.. trying to remember the name of it but it's really small and the people there are very friendly too. I will send you the name if I can remember it. It's two stories and the bar is upstairs. Just a whole in the wall but you always meet a new friend there

Not a hobby friend..lol just alot of friendly people.

I can't believe I haven't seen either one of those places before. Maybe i have and just drove by... there was a biker bar down there too but I dont know if it still exists

thanks for your help. If I head that way I will PM you and see which place you think is better. Someone sent me one about a place closer it looks way bigger than I want to go to tonight.

I think the "biker" bar you were referring to is the "Prison", gone now but was a really fun place to go hang out. I know you said McKinney is a little bit outside of your "party raduis", but for those of us living "up" this way, McK is trying to become a cool place to "stay in" to just "hang out". A Deep Ellum it will never be, but not a bad place to have to find something to do in at all!!
