Modeling himself after the modern day Robin Hood to Mexican peasants beware death comes brutally to those who step out of line. I never worked with sugar cane but I'm betting he resides in Houston area that's the main hub where the majority if not all sugar cane enters Texas on ships from Mexico and South America and gets distributed to feed mills. (Unless that changed while I was gone but I don't see how it could have)
