Sex addiction is real, but does anyone else get hobby burnout?

I was a run of the mill once a month hobbyist, happy, content. I don’t know what happened - first I stopped doing reviews. Then I couldn’t make some dates work. Now I scan through the ads and just don’t bother.

Is it cyclical? Do I need more B12 in my diet? I need advice!

I've noticed something similar. I was stuck on porn videos, specifically Japanese AV, for the past few months. But now I find it's pretty much all the same and doesn't hold the same interest it used to. I think it's burnout. Probably just need a significant break, and then maybe go find a real hobby lady.

I think it's normal. I'll speak for myself, but what I like about eccie is the variety. After awhile everybody seemed sort of the same so I backed off, didn't hobby much for a few months. Then my interest returned and my activity picked up, even with some girls that weren't "doing it" for me before.

So yes I think an ebb and flow is normal.

Good post, back in the ASPD era I was an avid hobbyist- 3 to 4 girls a week at my peak, but I got totally burn out- happens or can happen to anyone.

Sex addiction is what brought me to the hobby and over time, the addiction definitely has run it's course.

When I became a provider in 11/2010, I'd hobby and then still have 1 or 2 RW hookups just about every single day. Over the last few years; however, I've been content to just hobby and I stay because I like the variety of "friends with benefits" that the hobby provides.

My advice (even though it's super hard to do):
*quit watching porn,
*take a break or quit hobby, and
*don't stroke so much. If you do engage in self lovin, use your imagination.
*Try to find a real hobby or maybe volunteer your free time. Something stimulating, satisfying and gives you gratification just in a different way. Any activity that takes your mind off sex, cuz you know what the say about idle hands.....

I got burned out about a year ago. Living in the sticks I got tired of driving at least an hour. I live right off of I-30. Providers used to travel by me, not so much now.

I suggest get SA , i hobby here but also go to SA . Is kind of like a challenge , same as here u got girls that just in it for the buisness and some that are just freaks and just want someone by there side , so i do both so i wont get bored

Yup, Alastair the same , to many no shows , poor providers , etc,etc ,etc . Rubbing one out watching porn just doesn't do it ,SO useless will be back !!!

It's not burn out it's boredom of the same thing. Some of the providers get too complicated men just don't like jumping through hoops. And then when you go through those hoops and it's not satisfying anymore that's where the boredom kicks in. I love sex always well I could have sex three times a day. But I've noticed that some providers want three and four references their own screening.

I know we have to be safe out here but come on I was talking to a provider the other day. about setting up something over in Portland Oregon and she asked me to give her the name and phone number of the last 10 people I have slept with. Needless to say xhamster came in very handy that night.
As far as the reviews go I give a review if it's great or if it's bad but if it's in the middle why waste my time. If it didn't rock my world I'm not gonna shout about it

Many of us, especially gents, tend to overlook that "hobby" means less than full time.

Take a break.

Decompress.

Yes, hobby burnout is real.

I have money, time, and erections. For some reason I lack the desire to swirl them all together like I used to.

I find myself looking to fulfill VERY specific fantasies nowadays. Like one of the ladies suggested, my imagination is now the most important part of my sex life.
