I recently discovered this show and am hooked. I set my DVR to record every episode and watch many on You Tube. The way she takes these deadbeats, scam artists, moochers and other assorted low lifes to task is great (they often have no idea they are being humilated). If only they would let Officer Byrd occasionally go over and smack one of the defendants, it would be perfect.
Am I the only Judge Judy fan?

never watched it, but my younger brother was on an episode a few years back. he was just a witness for a buddy of his, and went along for the free trip to LA. said they put them up in a really nice hotel and gave them some expense money too. he was a bit embarrassed about it refused to tell the family when it would be on though.

My best friends mother is Jewish and she had a voice just like Judge Judy, shrill!! When I hear her on TV it reminds me of her. Why would anyone go on national TV to get yelled at by some old broad....unbelievable.
Since Oprah went off the air she is the highest rated syndicated TV show..so she must be doing something right.

Speaking of judges on TV, I was on judge Joe Brown a many years back when I was working part time for a guy and his payroll check bounced. twice, so I got a letter in the mail from his staff after I filed in small claims court. Long story, short, we both went to court, he got paid, I got paid, I got awarded $1000 on top of the amount of my check plus all bank fees assessed.
