Default Any ideas on selling 2 drop safes?

Good morning,

I have 2 drop safes with digital keypads that I no longer need for my business. I am unsure of the best place to try and sell these. I have checked out craigslist but when searching "safe" and "drop safe" they seem to be listed in many different catagories. I am also going to try some local pawn shops but they pay so little I think it is worth the additional research to find a better option.

Anyone know of a good resale market for these type of units? Anyone in the business know if dealers buy these devices to resell in their own shops?

Thanks for your assistance.

What are the dimensions? I may have someone I can have contact you depending on size.

Cobalt Safe Model DS-1D with an AMSEC digital keypad. 4 holes for floor mounting. ~ 12" H x 9" D x 7" W with a top/front vent for drop safe use.

Thanks

People seldom browse thru categories on craigslist unless they are hobbying. I generally do a keyword search and I suspect most people would too.

Here's one on ebay if you want an idea of prices. The upsell for the digital keypad is quite substantial -

Yup that is my safe with the digital keypad. Wonder how they ship considering what these things weight. Free shipping isn't a bad deal.

You might want to look into whether it'll fit inside the Large USPS Flat Rate box... probably won't. How much does that thing weigh anyway?

They weigh close to 40 lbs. I don't think they fit the large box. I will have to see if they have any newer larger sizes but the "large" one I have is too small.

If the safes can be used in a restaurant or retail establishment consider Ace Restaurant Supply or maybe a locksmith.

Over in Addison - there's a bunch of "office resale" type places.

I think they probably go into offices that are gone, moving or closed out or what not - and get all kinds of furniture, and equipment.
You may want to check one of those places about doing a consignment.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I got the codes reset today and have downloaded the manuals for the buyer to change their codes. Just doing some research on what price to set. If you PMed with interest I will get back with you later today.
