Dallas In and Out Burger, Caruth and Central
http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/city...out_dallas.php
For those who didn't want to drive to Frisco and wait in line, apparently the one that opened today in Dallas wasn't a big whoop.

Just wait for the one at 75/635 to open. I cussed when I saw where it was being built as I drove by it a couple of days in a row. Messed up a short cut too.

Well, I just had my first ever burgers from this "joint" and I must say I was very disappointed.
The meat was square pressed and extremely thin, I don't know what the pre-cooked patty weight was but if each patty is 1/8 lb I'd be surprised. Buns are just a touch bigger than the dollar menu burgers at Wendy's and the same shape and Wendy's uses better cheese than this place.
Cooking thin meat patties means that there is ZERO chance for the fat to tenderize and flavor the meat so the patties were bland at best.
Even the 1.99 shake was no big deal because although it WAS thick like a shake should be, if it was 8oz I'd be surprised. When I saw the cup on the counter as I pulled up, I thought the previous customer must have forgotten their free cup of water but no it was my shake.
Not impressed at all.
2 thumbs down.

I was also disappointed. It was a good burger, but nothing special. Not worth the hype. And they are too small.
I don't give it 2 thumbs down, it isn't bad, but don't wait in line for it.

I haven't been there yet, but from all the reports, it seems to be a cheap place for late night drunk food or cheap food for college kids.

A friend from California tried one here and said it's not as good as in LA.

When the one in Frisco opened I was in California. After reading all that was written on the opening I had to try one. I did not care for the burger or the fries. I thought McDonalds has a better burger, which is not saying much, and the fries were just bad, no flavor at all.

I'll have to try Kincaid's...my favorite is the jalapeno cream cheese burger at the Koffee Kup in Hico. They have some other great ones there, too. Worth the motorcycle ride.

Prolongus,
Kincaid's, to me, is rather plain. If you like the flavors of different burgers try Twisted Root. Definately worth the Motorcycle ride.

I just don't understand why anyone would waste their time at In and Out when Goffs is right across from SMU on Hillcrest.

These new hyped up places have been disappointing. I was turned off by in n out simply because of the hype. I'll try it as an alternative to whataburger sometime, but not now. 5 Guys Burgers also wasn't very impressive either. Mooyah, The Keg and Simply Burgers remain my preferred burgers for lunch.

What is funny is that Mooyah's and 5 Guys are almost the exact same thing.

I love that place! Hico is a good little town as well!
I saw on the news that In and Out will open it's Fort Worth 7th St. location near the end of July. Wendy's will be next door.........tough choice
