Maybe not in those words but it was certainly the implication of why he should be investigated in the first place. Flynn and the Obama administration had a falling out and Flynn was seen as someone who wanted to go a different way and was therefore "dangerous".
But let's examine what he was charged with, a process crime of not telling the truth to the FBI the very same thing Hillary did and Comey confirmed before the Congressional committee.

Comey tries his best to distinguish between lying to the FBI and lying to Congress but you heard him when asked by Trey Gowdy if what Hillary said was true and Comey clearly says "no, it was not". This is what makes a mockery of equal justice.
But Flynn gets charged and Hillary goes free, unequal justice under the law.
Trump should wait and see how the case is resolved because it would be better if the judge throws it out citing MORE FBI misconduct and if not, then pardon him.
