It's just a collection of false memories.Most of the Mandela effect are things that in no way changed the course of history.

Human brains are really easy to trick. We convince ourselves to believe things that are either not true, or just unverifiable, all the time.

Eyewitness testimony is disproven by videos every day. Just one example. Does that mean the witness is lying? No... it means the brain is just not as reliable as we think it is.

And on top of that, it's really easy to fool people, to mislead with marketing / media / propaganda. All you have to do is look at the current politics. How is it that half the people believe one thing and the other half believe the opposite, all based on the same "facts"?

Take everything with a big grain of salt. Just because you're sure, doesn't mean you're right.
