Sadly morality and the presidency have very little in common as with the rest of politics. Let’s not forget that Kennedy (the whole clan) and Johnson were at the absolute top of the list for scandals, womanizing and corruption but the public did not have immediate access to their daily affairs. Technically speaking did sleazy scandals make Kennedy a “bad” president? Not at the time but many years later we know the truth.
Clinton was just a cheap knock off in the scandal department even as Hillary laundered money when I was still in diapers. Most republicans are not much better but I don’t see as much wholesale denial. John Edwards was not even man enough to claim his illegitimate kid. Clinton tried to redefine a sex act to meet a legal definition.
I don’t know what Trump was thinking when he hooked up with Stormy Daniels but at least he usually taps hot women. Not fatty Monica. And for the record I don’t like Obama either but unlike King and Jackson I’m willing to believe he managed to keep it in his pants. He and Jimmy Carter either have a weak libido or they didn’t chase ass and they deserve special recognition.

I know it seems almost predatory what happens with politicians and women, but my observations is it is not just a sexual predator thing. Oh yeah, men too, look at Katie Hill. Shit, even Ilhan Omar reels them in. (btw, I wouldn't fuck her with Shep's money and Chung Tran's dick).

In my lifetime I've been around some pretty high-level people in the military and in industry. It isn't even a sexual thing (most times) there. Everywhere I served or worked the folks at the top were surrounded by people attracted to the power.

When I was a junior officer, my jokes were, on occasion, funny to my wardroom peers, but that was about it.

When I went to lunch, like as not, I went alone, or maybe with a bud.

As my rank increased, so did the hilarity of my jokes and witty remarks. I also found I NEVER ate alone, there were always the guys in my department, later in my command that "stopped" by my office at lunch - "hey boss - going to the club?"

In corporate world, same deal and actually a little more obvious. I held management and technical positions alternating thru my career. As a techie, few laughs, hardly anyone going to lunch. In management/executive jobs, not only I couldn't go to lunch alone, I couldn't pay. Jokes? Hell, almost anything was funny, and everyone listened intently.

Power attracts. Absolute power attracts absolutely.

Its really hard for a good, decent man... to be a good President. You need some of that narcissism... some of that cockiness.... some of that rat bastard to really be good at the job. Carter is the perfect example of that. He was a good, decent, Christian man. But, one of the lousiest Presidents... perhaps rivaled only by Hoover.
