i wonder what fauci the fraud will say about this .. maybe Trump needs to brief him ..

BAHHAAAAAA

DETROIT, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) – A Henry Ford Health System study shows the controversial anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine helps lower the death rate of COVID-19

it wasn't controversial until Trump touted early research that hydroxychloroquine might be effective for this virus crap. then a long standing medicine for "yellow fever" is suddenly "controversial"

patients and without heart related side effects, according to The Detroit News.
The results were published Thursday in International Journal of Infectious Diseases.

side effects .. wasn't that a serious complaint about Fauci's AIDS drugs? while he was getting his fatass royalties for his rushed thru treatments?

yeah .. i'm gonna line up to get a rushed thru "vaccine" from this guy ... NOT!!!!

of course it works and is efficacious in treating Wuhan virus

it was under assault for one reason by the leftists, trump mentioned it

of course when they got sick they took it but they banned it for you commoners

just another anti-science political move by the leftists and marxists

Medical literature has been Mixed on the efficacy of OHCQ

Clarly the Leftists have politicized the matter.

It does have a low Therapeutic index and must be used carefully - and is contraindicated in some cardiac patients.

It is a weapon in the developing arsenal against Wuhan virus.

used carefully and prescribed by informed physicians - and not the upon the 'rules' for wuhan virus treatment set up by the NYCrimes and LSM commentators. .

The jury's still out. This indicated it may be harmful,

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1....16.20065920v2

Here's a metastudy, which is somewhat negative on the drug,

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1....14.20065276v4

Some doctor on television this morning was speculating that maybe HCQ helps people who aren't severe cases, but hurts when someone gets to the point that he's on an incubator or in the ICU. He said most of the data is from people who were more severe cases.

Everybody seems to agree that randomized, controlled studies are needed to really know.

Ok, we get it. You’re a scientist. You don’t need a script to take zinc. It’s actually good for blood flow and hard ons. Every guy should take zinc.

I am unsure that we need to waste the time, money, resources, and patient care on OHCQ.

I think better to look at anti-virals like remdesivir and related drugs, and possibly kinases looking to disrupt viral attachment mechanism to cells.

By the time studies as that could be completed - we may either have a vaccine - or reached herd immunity in the world population.

This is probably going to sound nuts because several of us had a huge argument about whether people should be taking HCQ to try to keep from getting Covid-19, and I was saying no. But I could see doing randomized trials with HCQ among people who have Covid-19 but who aren't hospitalized or who haven't made it to the ICU yet. Remdesivir and dexamethasone have been shown to work for people with severe symptoms, while HCQ has not. However, for people who are still at home, there's not much to treat them with. It could be worth a shot to see if HCQ works. If you're not right about us getting to herd immunity rapidly, and if there's no vaccine or people aren't willing to get vaccinated, then this is going to be with us for quite a while. And like AIDS, it would be very helpful to have drugs that would treat the disease in people when they first show symptoms and test positive, instead of waiting until they're in intensive care. Not only would you increase the survival rate, but the disease wouldn't spread as quickly.

Good point on the antivirals. That's what Hong Kong is doing, a triple antiviral cocktail, and only 7 people have died there. And yes, I suspect that would probably work better than HCQ, if something like that can be given to people still at home.
