With that being said, I personally prefer to indulge in covered services for the safety of myself as well as my clients. All of those that I see respect that and a few have gone as far as to say they sought me out based on my covered reviews.
Do I judge anyone who does? Absolutely not. I only hope that they are regularly tested and safe with themselves and partners.

Your looking at if from the wrong perspective. The civilian at the bar is going home with one guy a night for the most part (yes I know some girls who fuck two and three different guys a night but its usually just one) The hooker is seeing as many guys as she possibly can. Its a business for her the more she sees the more profit she makes. Sure all hookers will say they are very low volume its one of the most used catch phrases in the hobby. Truth is most every hooker I know wants to make as much money as she can on the days she works. So based on the numbers alone a hooker is fucking a lot more men hence the risk she runs is greater because she is exposed to more numbers than the civilian at the bar. You also have to take into account the quality of person who hobbys. Guys who hobby tend to sleep with more women of questionable character (ie other hookers)than the civilian at the bar. So that will also statistically make a woman who sells pussy more risky imho. Like anything there are exceptions to the rule but I think as a whole prostitutes are much more likely to come into contact with std's.
You and I agree on one thing and thats regular testing. Everyone who hobbys should make it a habit to get tested regularly even if you never go bare. Some stds are transmittable even if you always wear a cover. The one std that scares me most can easily be transferred condom or not. Herpes. Statistically its crazy how many people in general have herpes.
Lets put it in general terms not adding in the higher risk a provider has herpes and just go on the national average. Its one in 6. So statistically if you are a trick and you have seen 7 hookers you have come in contact with herpes. Same if you are a hooker and you have seen 7 tricks you have likely come into contact with someone who has herpes. If a person is actively having a herpes outbreak even if they are wearing a condom and you engage in sex you will be exposed. To me thats scary. Take into account that prostitutes see hundreds or even thousands of men over the course of their years providing. How many times can you get lucky?
So I always tell guys to do the research when they ask this question and to use common sense. Know the risk and if you choose to go bare be ready to accept the consequences.
