Are you okay with socialism and does America need it?

Do you think the taxing of Social Security Benefits is the correct way for our government to move forward?

Do you think the celebration of black history while not celebrating other races is still the correct path forward?

Broad topic but curious about the responses from both sides.

DT - America is already a socialist country - FDR got it rolling with his New Deal.

Welfare, Social Security, ACA, Food stamps, free college, free rent, , and on and on.

We are so inured to the wealth re-distribution - we hardly recognize the new DPST/ccp plans for wealth confiscation taxes - in the name of "socialshit ideology 'equity'!

No. The less government and less hand-outs the better. America has done a pretty good job of shaking off the "subject" mindset of Europe, and best way to keep it that way is to diminish the welfare state as much as possible.

Personally, I'd like to see SS phased out and more education around investment and saving be compulsory in education.

BHM can stay. I'm a white dude and BHM has no impact on my life whatsoever. People act like they're getting rounded up and taken to re-education camps over it when it's literally nothing.

Agreed. Even Eisenhower tried warning America about the rise of the MIC and the control it was trying to exert over Washington. And this is me saying this as someone who gives these fellas enough of his own money voluntarily.

That's silly WTF. Because if you're a socialist or a crony capitalist, that's what you do, of course.

As to the difference, Socialists want the government to have all the power. And crony capitalists also want the government to have all the power, just as long as government gives them rent seeking advantages.

Though we may be few in number, Libertarians and small government/free market Republicans are superior to both.
