But what's all the talk about a Superbowl win is in the Cowboys destiny just because Dak signed a massive contract? Even Jimmy Johnson admits Dak isn't a QB that can carry a team by himself to the Superbowl. And the Cowboys have multiple holes to fill at every position except WR.
Dak can't win a Superbowl with the Cowboys or any NFL team right now. Think about it. Is there a playoff team the 2018 version of Dak could replace the starting QB and take them further than their existing QB? I can't think of one.
Jerry is too much in love with the idea of "The Triplets." Dak will never will a Superbowl with the Dallas Cowboys.

Dak is not better than Aaron Rogers or Tom Brady. However, he has been to the pro bowl a couple of times. Jared Goff of the Rams makes $33 million per season. Goff has regressed since he took the Rams to the super bowl 3 years ago. Jerry had to pay Dak more than what Goff makes. Why? because there is another team in the NFL that would have paid it, DAK were to become a free agent this year.
Agree with you the Cowboys are set at receiver, tight end and running back (I will assume E. Elliot is still on the team). They need defensive linemen and cornerbacks.
I think DAK could have taken the Rams to the Super Bowl this year. What he has over Goff is Dak can extend a play better when pass protection breaks down. This is why the Rams traded Goeff. They already have a top ranked defense. Plus, they don't think they can improve the offensive line significantly. Goeff did not get touched the year he took the Rams to the Superbowl. The Rams lost a couple of lineman from that team. Goeff has not been the same since. The Rams had already given Goeff his big contract extension. His salary counts too much against the CAP for the 2021 season, to just cut him. So, they traded him (and gave away the draft picks to make it happen).
