Border Patrol finally doing their jobs which will probably change in 4 years. Hopefully Trump doesn't follow thru with his Gold Card plan for 1 million people seeking permanent US residency at $5 million a pop. Allowing the rich to buy their way in so they can buy up America is a not a good idea.

You can buy a citizenship for almost any country for less.

During the Biden years, I repeatedly asked anyone to tell us just how unfettered immigration benefited the Nation.

No one really explained that.

You should have asked how unfettered immigration benefited the democratic party. They would be able to answer that one easily.

The Democrats were intent on building an entire lower class of “Serfs” to do those things that many Americans feel is beneath them.
This lower class would also be Democrat Voters once Kamala got elected and all were granted US citizenship.

President Trump threw a monkey wrench in the whole plan by getting elected and simply using existing laws to stop this insanity.

BREAKING: US Border Patrol Chief Mike Banks reports a new record monthly low at the southern border - only 4,399 Border Patrol apprehensions in July, beating the prior record low of 6,070 in June. Zero releases into the US again.

Average of 141 apprehensions per day in July. It's unheard of for the nearly 2,000 mile long southern border.

Biden record high December 2023: 249,785 (majority released)
Trump record low July 2025: 4,399 (zero released)

Good. Most folks aren’t crossing the border. I’m glad the lady that cleans my house (maybe not her workers) has papers. And my yard guy (maybe not his crew). Now when will prices start going down on groceries. How about home building, when is that gonna resume high levels so house costs will go down (doesn’t affect me personally but I’d love for my kid to buy a house).

I’m all good with stopping illegal immigration. So this is a positive.

You probably should be pissed at Powell for not lowering interest rates so your kids can buy a house.

Not at all. The interest rate won’t lower prices. It’ll increase them as long as inventory remains low - which it is.

Bullshit. It is not the cost of the home that prevents some from purchasing a home. It's the interest rate. Inventory is low because many can't qualify with higher rates. The housing market will boom with lower rates.

They never got over that slavery thing even with their Jim Crow laws.

On a 400k house with 20% down lowering the rate 1% takes a mortgage from $2,883.48 to $2,677.67 or about 200 a month. I don't think that will disqualify many from buying. The only thing that will boom is house value when rates are lowered. Right now it is tipping into buyer market territory, but not by much.
