Default conspiracy theory - Madura capture

It is circulating now that the Madura event was a negotiated capture.

No casualties when landing on a military base ?
No bodyguards ?
When Madura was being led out, it looked easier than ordering a tuna salad.
And his wife was available too........

Well think about it . . .Everyone has heard about how Binladen was jshot down where he stood.

The assault team say that he was resisting, but it was dark and they shoit the talent guy in the room . . .There is still a few operators who tell slightly different stories of that raid. Whatever the case, I applaud the team and the outcome.

So there is Maduro watching the US Navy deploying 25% of our forces on his front door step and recalling what happened to UBL. He has had contingency meetings with his staff and the cartels over what to do about the bombed out drug boats. At some point he wants out but realizes that if he is obvious about giving it up, the cartel guys will never let him live. So he responds to the offer come over from President Trump, and this raid is what they work out.

I don;t know if that is what happened, but that is how I'd write the movie.

No casualties?

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nat...314164693.html

Less than 'definitive', but reports

Quote:
In a nationally televised address, Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López said the abduction of Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, occurred on Saturday after “the cold-blooded murder of a large part of his security team — soldiers, both men and women, and innocent civilians.”

Padrino’s comments came as the Venezuelan newspaper Tal Cual, citing unofficial reports from security forces, said at least 25 people were killed during the U.S. military attacks on Caracas in the early hours Saturday. As of 6 a.m. Sunday, only one of the confirmed victims had been identified as a civilian, according to those reports. The New York Times reported that at least 40 people were killed in the pre-dawn raid, which involved heavy bombardment of key military and government installations before Maduro and his wife were captured.
Given the pardoning of former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, perhaps Maduro figures that surrendering was his best approach.

Right. No casualties on our side. Frankly I think Maduro gave them up in a manner of speaking.

The Russians and Chinese are looking at this very closely I am sure. So are all those folks who bought the best Russian anti-ir stuff in the past few years.

I am thinking that negotiating a different future for other Carribien nations will go forward now. Colombia, Nicaragua, Cuba and Mexico are likely to be paying attention . . .Panama too.

According to DJT

“There was a lot of death on the other side, No death on our side.”

Conspiracy? Maybe so...

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/...150642613.html

Quote:
Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Fiona Hill testified to Congress in 2019 that Russia was “signaling very strongly that they wanted to somehow make some very strange swap agreement between Venezuela and Ukraine.” In other words, the U.S. could have Venezuela if we let Russia have Ukraine. This strongly suggests that the price for letting the U.S. go after Venezuela without any protest was, and will be, Ukraine. It also suggests that Tawain may already be on the table as a bargaining chip with China, in order to secure its acquiescence to further U.S. regional hegemony in the Americas.

Our people were properly dressed. His security team was in their PJs. Looks like most of them were Cuban.
Interesting that the street patrols of the recent past have disappeared.

damaged helo, 25 or so Cuban security forces dead plus some Venezuelan civvies, multiple U.S. troops injured. doesn't smell like a negotiated capture to me, from any angle you look at..

and all of that just to save face instead of stepping down voluntarily? just naw. edify me if i'm missing something..
