It could be as simple as voter turnout, and the fact that they treat election day as a national holiday - as it should be. Nearly 80% of eligible Hungarians voted yesterday. Can you imagine that happening here?
Today's Americans are too fat and happy. Too dumb. Ignorant of world history. Too many have never really suffered a day in their lives. Too many who think it's "funny" to have a racist troll as POTUS.
We've clearly had it too good for too long here, if we're electing a dimwitted reality TV clown like trump to the highest office in the land.
MAGA is making a mockery out of the Founders' vision, and everything generations of Americans before us fought to protect and defend.
Today's Hungarians are smarter and tougher than we are, and they had seen enough of what could potentially be happening here. The consolidation of media outlets, the racism and xenophobia coming from on high, the "rules for thee, not for me" bullshit. Hungary had been living with all that for 16 years. They had suffered enough.
Yesterday was a great day for Hungary, for the EU, and therefore the world.
