That was a very good song. My brother was in the airforce and got home last year but anything to do with the troops always made me cry. I think it's because i know how bad I wanted him home and all those other people want the same for their family.

In this day and time war seems insane. You would think history has taught us something...even to the radicals. This song is 46 years old and may seem a bit corny but still rings true today.
Country music seems to be carrying the banner for patriotism nowdays. Folk music use to carry the hope for peace. Both have a powerful message.
