Well, 3 years ago, I started as a provider on some other site under "casual encounters". I didn't know what the hell I was doing, didn't know how to screen (but I tried). I saw a site called ASPD and joined as a lurker. I became aware of Backpage, but was scared to death of posting as a "pro". I didn't want to get arrested.

I took the BP plunge and was contacted by a few guys that were on this board. Causeway Commuter and Iliketoberimmed introduced me to ECCIE. Bless their hearts, they had to send me photos in order for me to see them and they complied. (ladies, they are both precious BTW). All of a sudden i realized you didn't have to go through 40 emails in order to find one qualifying client. Imagine doing this while working a 60 hour a week, full time job! Insanity at it's finest.

My first referral came from a lady named Elegant Belinda. I don't think she even remembers this, but the client was a pain in the ass. She was very straight forward (surprise, surprise) and told me exactly what to expect. I appreciated her candor and I knew how to handle this MF! lmao, he really was a MF, one of the only ones I would have to deal with.

Soon after, I met a few providers for the first time. It was brief, but so nice to have someone to relate to. Dallas Rain, April Showers and LA Vixen. It was storming in the quarter and they were all drenched. I met them at the Hustler club and stayed in touch with all 3 afterwards. April was my first double, Dallas became my go to girl, and Julie was also living a double life (working and school).

For some reason providers and hobbyists all come and go in the hobby. I meet alot of newbies that are willing to get tortured by my screening process and I either offer to be a reference, introduce them to the boards, or my provider friends when I am unavailable. I swear, I do have a point here!

I may have been a brat or bitch (sorry MODS) at times, but what often goes unsaid is that there are so many more cool mother fuckers around here than we ever mention. We, as a group, tend to be loudest about the rotten eggs. I have to say that the good, by far, outweigh the bad. If they didn't, I would have been long gone by now. I just want to say thanks to the guys I have met that have allowed me to live a great lifestyle. For the time being, this is a full time thing for me. In an economy where people are struggling, I feel very fortunate to be making a great living doing something fun.

Thanks to great guys and girls in the hobby. Just wanted to show a little appreciation! Happy Anniversary to me, and I hope to pay it forward.

As a former manager and business owner at various times in my life I was smart enough to now that all in any new business venture I'd need mentors. Guys I mean it when I say, I literally woke up one day and said, "escorting sounds fun.". I knew nothing at all except what google told me and so after landing on eccie, I began my quest to find some intelligent normal girls.

I liked You from the start Heidi, your posts had moxy and frankly made me laugh. You have guided me with wisdom, laughed at my not so great karaoke on bourbon..... Convinced me to get my first palm reading (or whatever that was) and most of all became a great friend.

You guys are sweet. I was in Houston for a few days and the boards there can be brutal. We all complain about the bad eggs but rarely get to acknowledge the nice peeps we meet. That was the purpose of my thread. There are many more sweeties than jerks, even though it may not appear that way to someone reading the boards for the first time.
