			my (at the time) young daughter and I were on the way to the lake very early (pre dawn) one morning and Hale Bop streaked across the sky (west to east) right in front of us, we were driving west to east also ... the show lasted a couple of minutes (it seemed like) and was one of the most awesome sights Ive ever witnessed .. beautiful.

Actually 522 thousand years ago. I think it's weird that when you look at stars some of them don't actually exist anymore. You're looking at something that isn't there.
