Default Is Anyone Watching The World Cup???

Is Anyone Watching The World Cup??? Am I and other SA Brits the only ones? USA team has a great chance to get into the next round. England is still asleep. The French are out of it and aren't practicing....Most of the European teams are asleep as well. My prediction is Brazil or Argentina for the CUP!! The South American Teams are doing fabulous.

Now if I could have a cup of tea, some World Cup, and a man knocking on my door seeking my pleasures....I'd call that a great day in heaven!!

The World Cup? (sounds like a beer drinking contest....) :-) Somehow, I just can't get excited about watching people run around for 3 hours and then it ends in a scoreless tie <yawn>. Can't wait for the NFL to start back up!!

I still am in shock of the Spain loss to the Swiss. That and I so feel for Cameron as they played so much better than the points show. I think the dutch will still be a handlful for any SA team.

Gotta say I really enjoyed watching North Korea get humiliated by Portugal earlier today. Getting ready to watch Spain and Honduras with a bottle of homebrew.

Sure thing, soccer is like a religion at home; Spain still kind of sleep but will wake up soon.

Try to follow as much as I can.
Loved seeing England scoring their first goal against America.
Was even sweeter since it was a man from Everton, my favorite English soccer team.

The sport that the rest of the world calls football is an incredible experience to watch, especially at the highest levels.

I'm wondering if the French team even bothers to show up, how Mexico plays tomorrow against Uruguay (I'm Tivo-ing it in English and Spanish) and whether Portugal, Spain and Italy have finally woken up.

Then, of course, there is the ongoing Argentine sideshow of Maradona. If his side advance far in the tournament, he just might finally eclipse Pele.

So many good storylines. I love basketball, but it doesn't compare to the World Cup.

Spain was beautiful to watch yesterday, but they remind me of my Gunners in that they play the beautiful game, but do not finish as much as they should... very frustrating

Maybe after USA's beautiful goal in the 91st Min. by Donovan, It will finally spark some REAL interest in football in the States. My dear England barely got in. FYI USA game 1pm on Sat. on ABC. England game 8am Sun. on ESPN. Mexico vs. Argentina same time as USA game on Sat on ESPN! The French and Italy gone!! hehehehe I love it!
My prediction for Final 4....USA, Netherlands, Argentina, & Brazil!!!!

COME ON ENGLAND!! Knock the smelly knickers off those Germans!!!

Now only if my phone would ring...I'm all very happy sparked up from the World Cup and no ventilation!!!!

Watching the hype before the USA/Ghana game.
I LOVE watching the fans. Their outfits and charisma for their side crack me up!

Where is a place soccer fans like to watch the games at in SA?
