providers with blurred pics on their face
It’s hard to write this and keep my anonymity, please bare with me. My profession is web design. My clients spend a good price for a website. In return I have my team think of solutions for the things that do not work.
That being said, for me if I were to take a provider on as a client, the blurred face thing does not work for me. I understand the need to keep their faces ambiguous. I also think there has to be a better way of doing this. One idea is a simple black bar. What ideas do you have keeping the sex appeal of the provider and not blurring them looking like……….

HATE the black bar, looks like a criminal.
If you don't want to show the face, hide it with hair, or take pictures at the right angles, worst case use sunglasses or a nice sexy mask.
I am a picture purist, I never ever photo shop my own pics.
If it ain't perfect, I am not going to post it. That's why I don't have any out there, lol

there is an artistic thing for what you said. I think that would solve the problem. My clients, who have huge bank rolls are CHEAP. They hate to pay for photo shoots. I assume the same for a provider. There has to be a solution..... I am working on it. Any ideas are welcome! As I write this I am thinking of those masquerade masks. I can easily photoshop that on someone. Still want to hear opinions from all

How about something like:
I sort of like the idea of a smiley face as well. Stars or hearts are somewhat less unattractive than black bars. Shopping in a 3D object such as a balloon might be less objectionable, too. Maybe a cute anime head. Flowers, puppies, etc.
Consider doing the photos with a real masquerade mask.
I remember someone who blurred her pictures with some sort of swirl function. It worked fairly well, but if you looked at it in a certain frame of mind, it looked like some sort of horrible creature.
Another one had a sort of "bright light" effect in front of her face. i.e. all white at the center, slowly fading out to normal color. It sort of made my eyes water because of the perceived bright light.

I concur. Blurred facial pics are not attractive. I actually think that turning your head and hiding it with hair is very sexy if you don't want to show your face.
This may be a good example of what F2C and myself are describing --

Austin Metro has 1,834,303 people; the chances of encountering a provider out and about, and their identity being outed is surely miniscule.
Who are they hiding their faces from anyway? their boss? their dad? their boyfriend? their college roommates?
Or are they just worried we wont find their faces attractive?
Then again, how often do we show up to an incall and she is clearly the same girl from the photos, but she isn't wearing the sultry makeup and sexy outfit that we were attracted to in the pictures? Maybe it's better that they don't fill us with false expectations.

Chance meetings happen all the time. I've run into several hobby acquaintances in the real world entirely by chance.
One lady was in the supermarket with her kid. Some idiot she'd never met before recognized her from her ad and said "Hey, you're Annie Joy, I've seen your ads." right in front of her kid.
Quite a few ladies have had similar incidents.
It's very common for real world acquaintances to spot them in their ads. Often with unhappy consequences.
It would also make it tougher against them in various court cases.
It's also getting to be much more common for someone to use automatic facial recognition of pictures on the internet. Right now, Tineye will find the various places where someone uses the same picture, even if it's been edited to some extent. Facebook does some degree of automatic facial recognition. I wouldn't be surprised if there's not a form of something like Tineye that will link together pictures of the same person on different web sites.
In a few years, big brother and big business will be doing face recognition all the time for various nefarious purposes.

With all due respect, the answer is yes, all of the above and more. Some of us would be compromising our families' careers and/or our own careers outside the hobby. Some of us have been victims of stalkers or have children to think of or ex spouses. Maybe we want to run for office some day!? Really? You don't understand the need for anonymity?

Mrs. President, forget running for office, some monger/hoogar friend will turn you in. So that lucrative boat has sailed for all of us here....
Other than that, YES all of the above and a few more reasons

I agree scarlett. I am one of those who blurs my face in photos....I used to never show my face but after being asked for partial or full face photos often I settled with face photos with some blurring. This is not a career for me, I have a real world job, friends and family that I respect so for my safety I don't post clear face photos. Austin is big but is also very small. I have seen a few ladies in public and have been able to recognize them from photos here.

I am sure it is a pain in the butt for you gentleman, but if ever someone is unhappy with the way we look, I would hope they would just say something and leave. Seriously.
Me thinks me needs to stay off the board. My sassy pants are getting the better of me today!
Maybe you were just kidding, 3daygetaway? Maybe you weren't? I dunno? Don't know why I care to even explain to someone who wouldn't get it anyway? Mental masturbation.
Okay, back to laying on my back now!!! I will be a good girl and be quiet! Bwahaha!! Insert sarcasm here!!
