Default Public Service Announcement "Alert"

This seems "alert" worthy ... for all concerned.

New laws effective today that include matters that could cause anyone jeopardy ...

http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?id=9223376

or can "ruin" your day ... by providing probable cause for a stop.

I guess it's just a matter of time before the varmints outlaw ball-scratching while waiting for the light to change.

Thanks for the reminder.

Nothing ridiculous so far..

Curious that the news article left out the new bill that requires driver to keep some distance from bikers/cyclist

FYI: Also, on June 14, 2013, Governor Perry signed a bill that repealed the ban on so-called "switchblade" knives in the state and became effective 1 September. So, anyone, not just Law Enforcement, some security officers and members of military special forces/ops can now carry switchblade knife as long as it is the legal blade length of not more than 5.5 inches in accordance with Texas Penal Code Section 46.01 (6) (a). However, there is still some limitation to this new enacted law. Here is the link to read for yourself.

So they they clarified the bullshit two license plate law that 2 yrs ago they accidentally removed the fine. GAY!!! I wonder since I drive a European car, if I can put European style plates on it with my license number, it would look better than the standard shit plates given to me.

You could.. but if you got pulled over and they run your TDL, and the TRUE plates come back on it, yet are not on your car they can then assume:

You have something to hide: possibly running something illegal since the plates are wrong.

They detain you, have a crew come out and dis-assemble your car on the spot, they find NOTHING! they then write you a ticket for improper plates and drive off... oh WAIT.. your car is in a state of dis-assemble. It is not driveable! What WILL you do?

Suing the state for that won't work. they had P.C.

they are not responsible for putting it back together.

I don't mean fake plates, I mean European style plates. There are companies that will manufacture a license plate with the license plate number of your car. It's shorter by height and longer by width but the numbers and letters are the same.

If they don't come from the Texas DMV then they are fake as far as the state is concerned.

And depending on what county you are in at the time you get pulled over, those "european plates" might just piss off Billy Bob the county mounty who has nothing but contempt for "european trash"
