To Recommend or Not to Recommend
I started a thread in Member Feedback, per Mokoa's suggestion, about the Recommend field in Reviews. I know many folks here do not read much outside our local forums, so I thought I would mention it for those who may be interested.

Very good, FL. It will be interesting to see what the responses are. I will be watching that one.

I think that the "recommendation" part of the review should be changed or replaced. A "yes" or "no" choice does not even come close to the varying degree of either good or bad service that each provider provides. Its bad enough that each hobbyist has his own biases and opinions as to what a good service is compounded by limiting our recommendation to two possible choices. Premium Access members have the benefit of the ROS but others are no so lucky.
My recommendation is replace the "Recommend" with "Services Rating" or "Overall Experience Rating" on a scale of either 1-5 or 10.
1 = Terribad
2 = So-So
3 = Ok
4 = Good
5 = Excellent

this is a very good idea, i have been in this position almost in half my reviews. trying not to steer the brethren wrong. i say yes recommendation. but wont repeat or some thing, course you have to have ros access, i think a 3 sytem is all thats needed like yes,no, something in between.

I agree. The rating system would be much more enlightening.

So instead of a yes or no, we could use a rating system like a 1-5 scale or category scale(bad, below average, average, above average & excellent sounds like my annual review). I like the idea of a using a scale type recommendation. So are we looking at revamping the whole review form or just the recommendation portion?

Very good idea FL...providers are asking the same thing of P411. A recommendation on ECCIE or an "ok" on P411, should have a field for comments, because it's not always that cut and dry.

The problem with yes or no, or even a 1-5 scale is that one person might see that provider and give her a no, but another person might read that review and still want to see her.

JS2010, it really shouldn't matter what someone else does w/regard to another persons review because the review is that person's telling of their experience.
The posting of ones review is simply to assist others in making an informed decision. Whether they heed the advice/suggestion given in that review, and make the correct decision, is entirely on them.
You can buy 'em books, send 'em to school...

Maybe I could have worded what I was trying to say better. What I mean is that one person might give a no recommendation, but someone else without ROS access would have still seen that person had they known the reasons for the no recommendation, so a simple yes or no, or a 1-5 scale isn't that useful.

I believe LN suggestion, makes a lot of sense, a rating system, with a comment field for clarification. Don't have to reinvent the wheel, a simply twick to what we have in place. Just my dos centavos...

A numeric rating system does not hack it...you still need to know the reviewer (and how he 'rates'), or have access to the ROS as to why the number is what it is.

I agree with FL. And you guys complaining about not having ROS, get it. Not that hard to do.

Ah! I gotcha' now. Thanks for the clarification, JS'10. With regard to people not having ROS, Pistolero sums it up pretty nicely

If you hobby, you should really spring for the ROS. Preferably by earning it bit if not, then by purchasing it because that's where the
important/vital/crucial info is held. Seriously, ask some of the ladies, they'll tell you...err....maybe they won't. Heh!
But if you're wanting the skinny and the scoop, that's where you'll find it. To not have it imnho, is kind of crazy considering not only your safety, but also the kind of monetary outlay that's involved.

The Erotic Review does a multi-numeric system for rating escorts that I am quite fond of (appearance, performance, attitude, and atmosphere). I think all of these are fair game.
