Default Religion and The Hobby

Are you guys religious? In church on Sunday? Me, I havent walked into a baptist church in over 8 years, way before the hobby--I was disgusted with the judgement they placed on others. I am more of spiritual person, live and let live.

I knew of a provider who gave 20% of her earnings from fucking to the church, in some way she must have thought she could buy her way into Heaven. Kinda psycho if you ask me.

So does anyone here have any convictions or feelings about religion and the hobby?

I was curious because Veronica Rose posted about lint, she is such a sweetie. I wonder what the higher power thinks about us lol

Oh and God help us all if you guys gave up sex for lint, we would be some broke bitches

Default The Hobby as religious practice

Check this review article on Wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacred_prostitution

Also, there's the curious institution of mutah found in some shiia Islamic communities:

http://www.nytimes.com/2000/10/04/wo...-marriage.html

The world generates a lot of variations on nearly everything.

BTW, it's "Lent," not "lint." I thought I had missed something truly exotic!

I have not been in a few years.I read the bible on occasion.I think it will vary on the person's interpretation. Some people judge and will say you are going to hell. Some will only say they will be here for you if you want to change your ways.I think people have mistaken Christianity with living a sinless life instead of helping others to live a better life.Preach the gospel and be there for them but not condemn them for there actions.

If I make a provider scream "oh my God!!!!" does that mean she's converted?

I'm in church every Sunday. This is something I have battled with my entire Christian life. It's my "thorn in the flesh" as the apostle Paul said. So why do I hobby? Because I'm a healthy 45 year old who loves sex and affection, but no wife. I have found that when I have a lady I'm interested in or trying to get to know, I really don't need to hobby. It doesn't matter if we actually have sex or not, but the affection part is satisfied and I don't feel the need to hobby, watch porn, etc. However, when there is no object of affection, I feel like I'm going to go nuts after about a month. I'm not going to get in a relationship with a woman just to have sex and then kick her to the curb when I'm satisfied. I'd rather pay a professional when I'm having difficulty abstaining. Another concern is that the church traditionally teaches that some sex acts are sinful (although the Bible says nothing about it and even seems to endorse one in particular act in "Song of Solomon"). Is this how a Christian should act? Absolutely not, but as I stated, my high sex drive has always been THE challenge for me in my walk with God. That being said, I definitely look forward to the day when I find my spouse. Perhaps I should marry a former provider so I can make sure I get the sex I want! Lol!

Seems a bit bias, maybe not- considering you use to go to church. Although, your reasoning appears to be the same (judgement) in the fact of your thought on mentioned provider.

All will sin-even if we were to quit this hobby. Some sin and are'nt even aware of it and their Christians. (who is simply a person who believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ)

I attend Church whenever I can, I pay my tithes which is not 20%

(tithes-hence the spelling and meaning
one tenth of a hundred) 10%

I will be detoxing/going on a vegan diet for lent.

I grew up attending church/Sunday school every Sunday. Although life has a way of changing things, some things will always be instilled in one.

I too, but I look at things in a way where if I did everything right, what would be the point in going to Church? (No repent) I wouldn't find it necessary. I pray/repent, and know that this is temporary and regardless of another person's evaluation of evidence to make a decision, they are not the one to make any that matter in My Life.

Im not judging her, her paying the tithe had nothing to do with her faith, it was out of guilt and some fucked up idea in her head that it was possible to buy salvation. Thats between her and her God. And yes she is psychotic, thats not judgement at all, but based on her behavior towards myself and others in the past.

Thats why I wondered about religion and this hobby, I dont feel guilty, but then again, I am not in church portraying myself as a perfect person--like the ones I grew up around and other experiences. I think if I were then I would feel guilt.

I feel what I do is between me and my God, but like I said, I dont put on a hypocritical facade.

Maybe I am judgemental of religion due to past experience. Ive found I am more spiritual and questioning a lot lately.

Regardless....I just wonder how it affects people.

Yes, the people who portray themselves as perfect are some of the main people running others away from church. They act like they don't struggle with anything themselves. If it's not sex, it's something else. They are practicing RELIGION but not their faith.
