StupidOldFart, you and I finally agree. It is a good thing when "GRIDLOCK" stops the Republican Tea Partiers, led by Lyin Ryan, from enacting his legislative agenda.

Then there is some common ground. That scares me. I don't like Ryan at all, and the Tea Party is a huge disappointment. I'd like to stop them all. Problem is, both Democrats and Republicans believe in the Patriot Act, the NDAA, and spending us into oblivion. No one will be there to stop that.

Someone has misspoken. The Senate will in the hands of the GOP. They are only four away from having a majority and the already have those locked up. Now it is a case of having a filibuster proof majority.
As for the rules, they are in the Constitution and you should have learned them in high school. This is about as much of surprise as mixing baking soda and vinegar.
