More hilarity from the Mandela funeral
The sign langauge interpreter, the man standing next to Obama and so near to many high ranking international officials, was a fake! Nobody knows who he is (so far) or how he got there (he had a badge) or what his ultimate motives were but he was in a position to wreak some real damage.

What a wretched continent! The single U.S. President to lend a helping hand to Africa was booed by the crowd. Carter did nothing. Clinton stood by while Burundi and Rwanda chopped each other to ribbons. Obama dithers and never does anything constructive for anybody. George W. Bush worked tirelessly to get AIDS relief going in Africa. More people are alive today thanks to George Bush than Nelson Mandela, and yet he is booed. The sign language imposter was working behind the bulletproof glass enclosure because the South Africans don't have enough metal detectors to cover all the stadium entrances. Desmond Tutu's home was robbed while he was at the memorial celebration. South Africa is a relatively advanced African country. Imagine the chaos elsewhere. Obama has the right idea. Stay out of Africa.

In a recent interview with Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family, U2 star and activist Bono praised former President George W. Bush and evangelical Christians for their work in fighting AIDS in Africa.
Bono discussed AIDS and likened it to the disease of leprosy spoken about often in the Bible.
“I am here to thank the American people for that,” Bono said. “And I also want to thank the evangelical community for that, because it wouldn’t have happened without their leadership, because they, like myself, pestered George Bush and the administration, who actually deserve praise for starting this out.”
