The guys that come see me know I have their best interest at heart and would never do anything to intentionally cause problems. My philosophy is the people that have "drama" in their life, create it. I have a girlfriend who reminds me to not take stuff like that personally. People tend to "self cull" and that's ok.

Anti Fuck....that describes my last gf... .. One reason I am unattached these days...I have pretty good security measures in place .. so emails from hobby people are no big deal to me....I have pretty much stopped hobbying not really close to any providers..but its probably a good idea for a provider to just email people she is kinda familiar with their situation and know its cool

I know he lives alone. Is single. I wanna say a widow but i can't remember could just be divorced. I already knew sending a email would not jeopardize his "status" or whatever. everyone just seems to be under the impression I randomly and carelessly sent out a bunch of emails to guys without thinking of the consequences. this is not the case but that seems to be alot of people's focus. the other 4 holiday emails i sent out 2 of them were just replies to say sorry not available during winter break have a merry christmas and the last 2 was to guys I regularly exchange conversation with and ALL of them I know for a fact use hobby email. and NOTHING I said was explicit, suggestive or anything but a polite touch base happy holidays.Quote:

Staff Edit....Posting Private Communications is Forbidden....SpacemtnNo forms of private communications may be posted. You are a member and the guideline says that no form of private communication between member(s) may be posted.

ok so if i tell a story about something that happened to and relay what someone may have said to me in the RW. that shouldn't be against the rules.

Gee everyone I'm going to tell you a story. once upon a time someone said to me in passing

How dare you give me a holiday greeting (out here in the hills of Montana completely not privetly in the open). Your were such a bad fuck you were an anti-fuck: lifeless, totally non-sensual ... and I was supposed to watch you eat a sandwich? talk to me again and I will alert the APD to your soliciting activity.

then he shook his fist at me turned into the grinch who stole christmas and Stole the Happiness right out of my heart.
and it mad me feel really bad and self conscious ¯\(°_o)/¯

and I didn't know what to do so I sought out something...what was unclear. wondering the snowy Montana hill side of Austin :P (take that) I eventually was so lost I wound up here on eccie and a Second Grinch WHISPER sought to feast upon my weakend state but saw my happiness was already gone and passed me along to the Mountain man who, for those who've seen him he really does look like a mountain of a man. tall and manly he looked down upon me, King of the mountain and said "you are forbidden to speak of this as your in my mountain land. may the winds carry your words away" then he dragged me inside the mountain and sat me in front of a fire and gave me a good book to read and hot coco to ease my sorrow. alas still without happiness I found some comfort here in austin eccie land. tho the Grinch name whisper still lurked seeking to feast on anyone in his never ending hunger

It seems as though you want everyone to agree with you that you didn't do anything wrong. If you had sent the guy a PM on here I wouldn't think it was that big of a deal. But sending an unsolicited email is wrong. How do you know that the guys status hasn't changed since he saw you? Maybe he's dating someone and is out of the hobby all together. You said you didn't realize that you had done anything wrong and when most guys start pointing out that you did, all you want to do is defend yourself. Ladies, it's not that difficult. Never send an email or text out of the blue. Never!!

i was addressing the concerns or reason others were pointing out why it would have been a problem.

but think what you like.

bit of a double standard tho. how about we make it even since Providers too have family and SOs how about guys never text or email or Call out to the blue. you know just to make it fair. Never!

Actually this is exactly what happens too much. A guy gets in a relationship, steps away. Is totally transparent with his new SO, and not secretive and POW, something sketchy pops up out of the blue.

Secret_Amore, I think the large majority of people were really supportive. The fact is, you sent him an email and that set him off, for whatever reason. I don't think he would have ever sent an nasty email to you except to respond to you. That in itself shows why unsolicited emails are a bad thing, sometimes. But we never know when.

That said, you did a GREAT job restating your story! Don't let crazy hater guy get you down...some people are just jerks.

Now please make me a sandwich....I'm starving! Xoxo

Just have the protocol in place. I have not had any problems. I only send a text, email or pm when I want to set a appointment except I do have one that I send a text to her hobby phone or her personal email address when there is an investment update. But I had to know that was ok before I did it.

Don't take it so personal and Whispers is really a nice person. Don't believe all this stuff on the board and take it personal. |

yes your right I just need to take a chill pill.

you know I never get why women get mad at the whole 'woman make me a sandwich' comments i mean sandwiches are easy. now if a guy asked me to make him a creme brulee I'd be like bitch make it yo self. ^_^ (I would totally burn down the house in the attempt)

just a random tidbit.

My feeling on the subject is simple if you and your provider have seen each other more than once or talked via email, PM, or text multiply times I do not see a reason in why a simple considerate happy holiday email would be a bad thing. Now if no emails or communication has occurred and you maybe only seen this client once then maybe it would not be a good idea to send them any type of message..
Personally I would have enjoyed if I received a email or message from a provider saying Happy New Year to me that's good business and customer retention.
