				 Conservatives are literally killing us

I'm sure we will get the normal backlash against anything that says conservatives might not have all the answers, but it's an interesting read nonetheless.
This idea that we are somehow the greatest country in the world, is just not so. The numbers simply don't bear it out. It doesn't mean we can't one day be that country again, but it will be a long, tough road.

Ask yourself. In terms of people, what have we got in The United States that other countries that are deemed better off than we are do not have?

Just what are Liberals doing to counteract that problem?

That article speaks the truth- if you want to talk about big deficit reductions and complain why the govt spends so much you can point the finger at the Republican party. It was actually Trick Dicky Richard Nixon who got rid of the gold standard and allowed the govt to start this free spending like it was no tomorrow.Prior to Nixon, our government was only allowed to spend what they could secure our back up in gold hence the Gold Standard- well the Republican party led by the most corrupt PORUS ever decided to do away with the Gold standard and allow the govt to spend whatever it likes. Of course Reagan started the free spending as he spent more than all other Presidents before him combined- and just when you didn't think govt would spend any more or get larger- it grew under George W. Bush and somehow by some miracle of God- these Repugs expected Obama to fix the spending crisis of 2 wars/ collapsed economy/ failed banking system/ failed housing w/o spending- go figure!

Although we are the most advanced country in the world- our education system lacks way behind many other countries and our health system is significantly worst than a lot of countries. Take a look at countries that have a "socialized: health care system they outlive us and are far healthier- and you know what they don't claim about health care. So we will continue to produce obese people who are uneducated while the rest of the world produces healthier and more educated system.

Oh and by the way- look at the developed counties- when their political favorites lose they just support the current leader and await re-elections they don't get vile and nasty. I have had many Canadian people state how disgraceful they think it is how some people treat Obama. All you guys are here are living proofs of why Canadians mock us.

Don't let Canadians fool ya. Their Healthcare System is very inefficient. For a sparsely populated country of only 35 million people they can't do shit right, as far as how they feel about the way Americans treat Obama that's none of their dam business, that's part of being American we don't have to support any politician since they work for us we don't work for them.

While it is true that we are not the greatest country in the world anymore, that little blog hardly proves it is the fault of conservatives. Austerity is hardly the problem, shiftless bums are a far worse problem.

Well....no offence, but you really haven't said anything worth arguing specifically.

"inefficient"? That would be the last thing I'd call it.

It has its negatives but it is far far more efficient than the system we have in America.

Also, I hate to be a conspiracy pushing hack like our own JDMoron but I think that the right has an agenda focused on falsely marginalizing the socialist healthcare systems of countries like Canada or the UK. Probably to shit on Obamacare. I wouldn't put it past them.

Well according to this article a sizable number of Canadians left Canada in 2013 to seek medical attention elsewhere. A country with a efficient Healthcare System shouldn't experience that.

Care to clue us in as to what exactly is inefficient about it? It's not about supporting a politican, but a modicum of respect for the office is something we've lost.

These are the countries that rank ahead of the US in terms of healthcare. Why wouldn't we want to learn what some of the countries at the top are doing right? The US comes in at number 37. If you use this forum as a microcosmic example of the US at large, we're not very good at listening to others with different ideas. Ideas that could actually be better than what's currently implemented. We're stubborn and we fear change.
