Hell with the sex scandals at Baylor, Briles learned his lesson. I want Briles. He turned Baylor into a powerhouse from absolute shit.

Bringing Applewhite would be interesting. Wasn't he involved with a Student trainer when he was at Texas. The female track coach lost her job for doing the same thing. Hiring Applewhinte would not look good for the University but Texas has more money than common sense so it wouldn't surprise me.

John Harbaugh is making 7 million/year at Baltimore. I can't think of one reason why he would want to join the circus at The University of Texas and have to put up with the Good ol' Boy boosters.

I can see Tom Herman taking the job since he is only making 3 million at Houston. If he was smart, he would make Texas pay him about 6 million a year.

Be sure to listen to the press conference at 11 tomorrow am. From twitter hes been fired but won't do it officially until after the game on Friday. Its going to make for an interesting press conference.

I think herman could bring applewhite to be what hes doing there. I heard via twitter awhile ago that theyd offer herman a little over 6 plus input in a ad.

But with the buyouts from lville and texas, texas will have paid him over 30m...which willl go down if he gets another job. Thats nearly 2 mil a win.

Talk about DUMB predictions -- from a guy whose ego is up there with Trump's and who professes to know a lot more about football than anyone else contributing to this thread...

October 8 (this thread, post #42):

And, drum roll, the coup de grace prediction is made on October 24 (this thread, post #72):

PrettyBoyG -- As Congratulations has already noted, just accept the fact you were wrong in all of your predictions!

Texas players did boycott the TCU game, they just did it on the field.
We pay teachers 42k to be role models. Texas is going to pay Strong 30 million for 3 of the worst seasons in school history.

I like herman and chuck doesn't but he is really unproven in an unknown conference. This is only his second season as hc. He is young and will be able to recruit better in texas but i am unsure about the lack of experience. I heard on post game talk he could be fired early am. During the press conference after the game, he acted like he was coming back. If they didn't have foreman this year, I wonder what their record would be? 2-10? Worrse?

Buechelle looked like shit...again! Why not put Swoops in for a couple of possessions. The announcers during the 4th Q said Tx had 12 possesions that were 2:30 or less in a row. Why wouldn't they put Swoops in even when it was over he being a SR and all and let him play the last 4 downs or so? The announcers were also shaking their head at Patterson outcoaching Strong TERRIBLY in the 2nd half. I don't know what happened to Gilbert's offense. Foreman a stud and Buechelle fucking a joke!

It does seem like Buechele has gotten worse as the season has progressed. I blame that on bad coaching. It was embarrassing that Spence Tillman was diagramming and predicting what the Texas offense was going to do, and also showing where Texas had a numbers advantage and could run an effective play but didn't. You know a quality coach like Gary Patterson could see that too. He must have felt like Strong was giving him a gift.
So many negative milestones: worst defense in school history, first loss to Kansas in 78 years, first Texas coach to have 3 losing seasons. Kirk Bohls column today pointed out Royal, Akers, and Brown had only 2 losing seasons in 46 years of coaching. I know Strong had a good record at Louisville, but he just has no excuse for his lousy record at Texas. I can't remember which game it happened in but the lowest point in the season was when one of the refs had to go to the sideline and explain to Chuck that he needed to decline a penalty.

Lville is in a less demanding conference. Its more of a hoops school than anything. I am just glad about how it played out. Last week, I bet the moneyline vs kansas on ku +1200 something and considering the dog and pony show on Monday with the players during the presser I thought they may show up but I also remembered their Baylor showing so I took both texas and the tcu money lineand the over...which failed.I also took texas tech money line.

After season one, he was like Ill never lose 6 games again and well...

I wouldnt complain if I got fired well cs in particular but the other hc had a year or more guaranteed. The assts arr the ones getting screwed. Hopefully with the new hire they wont guarantee so much.

Default The con man is gone

Glory days will be here again, the con man is gone. Goodbye chucky, don't let that door hit ya' in your Keebler elf a--. This move is 2 years too late. No matter who coaches the horns next year I will be renewing my season tickets and going to the games again. The experiment did not work!

I watched his press conference today (herman) and one of the questions that was asked was how are you going to handle the pressure? He replied back and said, you dont have pressure if you are prepared. It may or may not have been a shot at chuck bc he always brought up pressure. It cant be worse.
