All this talk about "libtards" condoning police brutality. As libtard as I may be, I certainly don't think anyone deserves treatment like that from those sworn to protect and serve. It may be a geographic difference, but where I am from blaming the victim is almost always hallmark of the right-wing side of the spectrum. When a boy somehow got shot in the back of a police car in my hometown, it was the libtards who picketed the courthouse calling for the resignation of both the arresting officer and the commissioner who let him off the hook. Or you can look at the grand state of Texas, the last great conservative bastion in the US where men can kill escorts and get acquitted before a grand jury.
Hate to break it to you but the reason money is spent on surveillance on jails and police cars so there is sufficient evidence to hold the police accountable is because of libtards like the ACLU. It is unfortunate that this has happened to her, and it is infuriating that Officer Hart will not be brought to justice. I hope he is terminated from the police force in disgrace.

The origins of the "Libtard"-approved police brutality accusation stems from disputes about the proper role of police in society, the role of government, and the weight given to certain civil liberties.
A lot of conservatives, particularly of the libertarian bent, are highly critical of the conduct of the War on Drugs, the related civil forfeiture laws, and the militarization of police forces. A lot of them are also highly critical of the surveillance state, particularly things like red-light cameras, which appear to have no function other than increasing government revenues.
Still other conservatives are angered at attempts to curtail Second Amendment rights and government crackdown on perceived anti-government radicals, particularly 2nd amendment advocates.
Since the police carry out the orders of the federal goverment, a lot of conservatives are highly critical of police tactics and the perceived targeting of conservative causes.
Well who knew the left was so in love with tough police tactics? It turns out they don't mind so long as the correct people are targeted. Many on the left perceive an attack on the cops as an attack on government power - and we all know they won't tolerate reductions in the scope and role of government.
So, if cops disregard concealed carry laws and harass gun owners, a lot of "libtards" are OK with that. And if the FBI is spying on Christian fundamenalists, well, that's not an infringement of religious freedom, it is good, effective anti-terrorism tactics.
The defense of police abuse by progressives doesn't seem to have an logical basis. it appears to be a case of "if the conservatives are against it, then we must be for it."
So, OF COURSE, the IRS needs armored cars and riot gear. Of COURSE the national parks police need SWAT teams. You never know when they might have to get tough with some Bible Thumpers who don't want to pay taxes to the Great Satan.
And don't do anything to eliminate red-light cameras and civil forfeiture laws. That money is need to support vitally needed government programs.
It's all about whose ox is being gored.

I dunno, wasn't there, don't know what sort of shit went down between this woman and the cops before she got her teeth knocked out. One thing I do know....If she'd stayed in her cell, she'd still be capable of eating corn on the cob rather than sucking oatmeal through a straw.
One more thing. I've sued police officers, I've sued police departments for excessive force, sexual assault and other civil rights violations.
After all of that, and after some personal experiences, I've learned one immutable truth: you aren't going to win a fight with the cops. There are about 3 responses that anybody who comes into contact with the cops should give:
1. Yes Sir.
2. No Sir
3. I would like to speak with an attorney sir. Again, not defending the cops. Just saying.
Otherwise, you do exactly what the cops tell you to do and 99% of the time, you're gonna be OK. You go roaming around outside your cell, you talk shit, you curse the cops....they're human. Gonna kick your ass.

According to the article she was called out of the cell. She didn't roam out of it.
There still are parts missing to the story. But she seems to have been caught completely off guard. She was walking quietly back into the cell and he came up behind her and launched her head first into a concrete bench.
Hard to explain that.
