For the sake of argument, if a leader of the type Benjamin Hett's describing came to power, other democratic institutions would keep him in check, as long as the majority of America is not behind him. Trump is not Hitler, he's a run of the mill populist who lies a lot.

AOC, Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders as president would frighten me. Trump, like Obama, just pisses me off.
