As you know, the Republican Congress was just as important as Bill Clinton to what happened during his second term. Without the Republicans, the federal government probably wouldn’t have balanced the budget, reformed welfare, cut the capital gains tax, and promoted free trade.

That is true McConnell tried to block everything that Obama tried to do, including attempts to take away the expanded medicaid from the 300,000 residents of Kentucky that get it from the ACA.

Mystic, As a matter of principal I don’t have a Facebook account — Mark Zuckerberg is pure evil. So I couldn’t read your link. But your post got me thinking because I’ve truly hated some democratic congressional leaders, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid and George Mitchell to be specific. But after Mitchell left office he seemed to radically change. He was doing good things on the world stage, and he ceased being partisan. Maybe our hatred and disgust of these party leaders has something to do with their extreme partisanship while in office. I don’t see it with McConnell but maybe I’m somewhat blinded because on positions that really matter to me, he’s more often on my side of the issue than not
