It has been several years since I discussed this here on ECCIE. But some may not know about prostate infections and cancer.
I had a urologist prescribe and schedule several prostate massages for me due to a prostate infection. I was referred to him after a routine physical that included a prostate exam: the exam of an infected prostate was extremely painful - as in pull me off the ceiling. After several months of antibiotics (it is hard to treat because it is in a difficult location for antibiotics to reach, or to treat for cancer) he explained that it was necessary to massage the prostate to help clear the infection, and everything else out of the storage sack. An infection could turn to cancer.
During the series of visits he inquired how long it had been since I had sex. When I respond just over two years, my wife had died from breast cancer. He told me I could not do that. The male requires that the prostate be emptied on a regular basis (thank you girls).
As a joke, I asked him if he would write me a prescription? He said he would, but he did not know of a pharmacy that would fill it. Then he told me that if I would not date due to my feelings about the mother of my children. I needed to masturbate to empty the prostate.
That was how I found the hobby in and a lot of good friends.
