OK - so let's take NYC and it's 8.4 million residents out of the equation.
New York State has 19.5 million residents. That leaves 19.5-8.4 = 11.1 million residents.
The State has 28,168 deaths minus 20,214 in NYC = about 8000 deaths.
8000/11.1 million = 1 in 1387 per share of population
compare to Texas at 1 in 21,383.
We are still significantly better off down here.
21383/1387 = more than 15 times better!
Plus, they have more gay people.
