Emancipation was written in the stars and the end of slavery with it.
Great corrupt political machines rose up to oppress the people; Tammany Hall, Pendergast, Daly, D'Alessandro all controlled jobs, appointments, and wealth in their cities and they were all democrats. The Ku Klux Klan along with many similar groups terrorized and murdered people for political ends. Even eugenics was based on the notion of racial superiority in the democrat party. Miscegenation laws, Buck V Bell in Virginia, Jim Crow, and lynchings...all hallmarks of democrat control.

If one desires to have a vision of the USA, one need to look no farther than California .... then there is Venezuela.It's too bad the LoonATicks on here hate the USA.

I can accept 2/3 of the Federal government and a majority of the states in conservative control .... to protect the existing status quo. Reconstructing the Constitutional foundations of this country will be a challenge and Executive Orders won't carry the day.

If Trump goes down he was beaten by a tragic plague ... not by quality people with the best interests of this country at heart.

I read somewhere that the southern democrats in the late 1800 intended to change the way we educate our children. I can't provide a link to it as I don't remember where I read this. oh, yeah. i rememeber now. it was in the history books. it was mentioned off hand, like a throw away statement. it was strange to see it in the history book.

There was a short scene in Ang Lee's Ride With The Devil where on character said the war was lost when they saw that the north educated every child despite their family's station in life. The south only cared about the sons of movers and shakers. I have heard the same sentiment in a couple of other movies. It came from somewhere and it does express correctly a popular belief in the south of the time.

Look at 9500, knowledge is wasted on some people.
