Yes, it bothers me to say this too, but one of the best burgers I had recently was at Dennys. They had a burger called the Diner Double, im not sure if it is still an active menu item or if it was a seasonal thing. But I was actually wowed by it.

Yes, in the Chartiers Valley school district. I went to middle school across the street. It used to be Scott high back in the 50’s. The football stadium was where ALDIs is today.

there once was one a car racing track somewhere around
the scene by there.

Surely seem like you fellows had it all back-then.

Heidelberg raceway. It was where Lowe’s and Walmart are now. That place was a blast growing up. The Oasis restaurant was where Walgreens is now. I guess “progress” took over. Damn shame.

Yep Heidelberg Raceway was a fun place. Regular races and the occasional demolition derbies. Used to walk there on occasion.

And Bam is showing his age 😂😂😂 if you went to Old Scott High, then John Dewey as a middle school. For us younger fks, 😂😂😂 It turned into a grade school and the middle school moved up on Swallow Hill Rd in the old High School

Kings restaurant was also there - near the
Long John fish chipper take-away...

Kings had decent hamburgers.
And ice cream cake.
... But NO Beer ...

I went to John Dewey in the late 60’s, then to the old CV Highschool and was in the first class to graduate from the new CV Highschool where it stands today. In 1975. But I was the youngest kid in our class. So there’s that!!!!!

So, I was eating at Redmans Dairy which became the Gab n Eat since the 60’s. On a side note, the DQ next to Dewey finally closed last year. It brought a tear to my eyes. We would go there after football/basketball practice and grab a DQ for the bus ride home.

Surely wish our mate Chesty was around the site.
He'd know where the best sandwiches could be found.
