Not true. When that stack of virtual checks is getting smaller then you save money. Now, maybe you can use that money for something useful or bank it until the Trump administration comes calling.
Maybe a female thing about "saving money" by buying scrap on sale.

... DOGE - advised by Elon Musk - has to THIS date mentioned
$65 BILLION in savings.

Fraud detection/deletion ... Contract/Lease cancellations,
Contract/Lease renegotiations, asset selling, and also
grant cancellations are just some of the savings there.

The DOGE website has more details... As DOGE seeks to be
Fully Transparent. ... ...

TrumpAs a President who is being given credit for having the Best Opening Month of any President in history,

Help me out here....what objective measurements constitute the 'Best Opening Month'?

Certainly doesn't appear to be these 'day one' promises.

Inflation? (“Starting on Day 1, we will end inflation and make America affordable again,”)
January 2025, the headline inflation rate was 3.0% and core inflation was 3.3%

Grocery prices (Very simple word, groceries. Like almost—you know, who uses the word? I started using the word—the groceries. ... I won an election based on that.”)
January at-home food prices were up 0.5% from December.

Immigration? More correctly, deportation ("On day one, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history to get the criminals out.")
U.S. President Donald Trump deported 37,660 people during his first month in office, previously unpublished U.S. Department of Homeland Security data show, far less than the monthly average of 57,000 removals and returns in the last full year of Joe Biden's administration.

Pardons? ("I'll be looking at J6 early on, maybe the first nine minutes.")
Hours after taking the presidential oath, Trump issued pardons and commutations that paved the way for the release of more than 1,500 people convicted or charged in connection with the US Capitol riot.
Done, but a dubious achievement that one....

Ukraine war? ("They're dying, Russians and Ukrainians. I want them to stop dying. And I'll have that done - I'll have that done in 24 hours." )
We are now 888 hours into that 24 hours

Ending birthright citizenship? (Trump told NBC in December he "absolutely" planned to end birthright citizenship on day one: ")
Well, there's that executive order that has been blocked...and well could be unconstitutional.

Tariffs? "On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders."
Days after he announced a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico, President Donald Trump agreed to delay them for one month.

UH HUH......Maximum Transparency...not

DOGE.gov updates

Elon Musk’s DOGE has quietly deleted the five biggest “savings” it had touted on its “wall of receipts” after a number of media outlets pointed out that they were strewn with errors.

Now, the top saving on the page is $1.9 billion cut at the Treasury. The Times, however, reported last week that that cut was actually made last fall, when Joe Biden was president.

Busted: DOGE humiliated by brutal fact-checking, walks back bogus savings claims
https://news.yahoo.com/news/busted-d...054253757.html
Elon Musk's DOGE team removed key items from its "wall of receipts" after journalists fact-checked their boasts of billions in savings from cuts to federal programs and exposed sloppy errors and outright falsehoods.

Took $10BB off savings, yet somehow the grand total of savings did not change at $65BB.

Interesting math.

Illegal border crossings are down 95% since Trump came into office. The previous border czar was either completely incompetent, had no intention of actually securing the border, or both.

Uh huh...
U.S. DOGE SERVICE TEMPORARY ORGANIZATION
Our motto is "MAXIMUM TRANSPARENCY"

DOGE Quietly Changes Its Website (with no explanation)
DOGE deleted the top five highest savings claims on its “wall of receipts” leaderboard after various news outlets pointed out multiple errors in its calculations, The New York Times’ David Fahrenthold reported Tuesday.

The savings, deleted with no explanation from DOGE or the White House, include: a $232 million cut to the Social Security Administration that actually amounted to only $560,000; an $8 billion cut at Immigration and Customs Enforcement that was actually only $8 million; and three $655 million cuts at the U.S. Agency for International Development that ended up being a measly $18 million.
Not suprisingly
DOGE had claimed earlier this week that it has saved $65 billion thanks to all of its cuts. Its website still boasts this number, despite the recently deleted claims.

The Infromation shown by DOGE keeps changing - as I've mentioned.
It's been barely a month... Let's look at the savings in another
month or two.
