With the current stance Trump has taken against Russia even life long Democrats should know the whole Russiagate story was bullshit. I have to agree with Lucas McCain that nothing will come of this as in prosecutions or arrests. Seems like posturing. Sadly, you are correct on a lot of this. I am now 74. Lttle of this ( and much more) will not be resolved in my lifetime. If playing the three wishes game, I would have liked to live long enough to read what historians and political science writers in 2050 or 2090 have to say about the people and events from say, 2000 through the present. MAYBE AS FSAR BACK AS 1991 AND DESERT STORM. Whatever the date, long enough to boil out the ax-grinding and special interest spin on things.

Interesting view. I didn't think it was the Russiagate lawfare that lost it for the Democrats in the 2024 election. I believe what lost it for them was mass immigration, lawlessness in Democrat led states and cities, and people sensing that the Democrats were taking them to WW3.

Democrat voters became disenfranchised because even they could tell that their Democrat leadership didn't give a damn about them. Democrats can only win an election by cheating via undocumented migrants. It's easy to spot a Democrat in society, just look for the person wearing a mask while driving alone in their car.

There’s nothing new that’s not already been examined and there was no proof of anything - well except that Putin and his Russian oligarchs used social media to push Trump and press negative information about Hillary in 2016 and to sew discord. The Russians did interfere in the election. There was credible evidence to investigate. Trump and his associates appeared to be publicly supportive of the Russians releasing confidential documents. And in the end the investigation concluded that Trump was not involved and the inciting report was falsified not to mention Trump won the election.

What exactly is the charge that they are trying to make?

This sounds a lot more like conspiracy, deflection, grievance and revenge to me. Especially DEFLECTION.
