Default Why Does Every Democrat On This Forum Live In a Red State? Doesn't This Diminish Their Credibility? How Do We Take These People Seriously?

I checked. Almost all if not every Democrat on this forum lives in a red state. They enjoy the good life with better economies, more jobs, better schools, more affordable housing, lower crime rates, and lower taxes. At the same time, they tell us how great Democrat policies are. How do you have any credibility at all when you advocate Democrat policies while you simultaneously enjoy life in a red state? How can the rest of us take you seriously? Shouldn't you test drive that new car before you buy it and tell us how great it is?

... Hmmmm... You'd surely think that at least a few o' the
liberal lads here would make their abode in Wash DC or in
New York City... Or even the south sides of Chicago.

... Rather odd thing that they live in Red states.
... Just sayin'

While the topic of this thread teeters precariously on the edge of violating community standards, I do get the point . . .and agree.

Lets keep it civil everyone.

The liberal lads, as Salty puts it, are a pretty rational lot. You don't see them posting to this thread. In one of Blackman's threads, I pointed out statistical info showing Republicans don't run up debt at the state and local level to the extent Democrats do. There wasn't a peep out of Blackman, and Precious B's response was just "ouch." They may just be staying quiet because they don't have a good response. Yes, Republicans are more efficient managers and stewards of taxpayer money outside of Washington, D.C.

The answer to your question, I believe, is that the Democrats on the board are social liberals. They don't believe politicians should be able to tell a woman what she can do with her body. Or that gay people can't get married. That transgender people should be banned from certain jobs. That your 80 year old grandmother should be deported because she's not a citizen.

I happen to agree with them on those points, but vote my pocketbook instead of my conscience.

Please note a number of Republicans who post here live in blue cities. I would encourage them to move to God's country, places like Amarillo and Abilene, to fully enjoy the benefits that come from Republican governance.

It’s hard to answer this thread without revealing personal info. In my case I was born and raised in Texas. Lived here my entire life. I respected Texas Democrats for being moderate. It was only after the redistricting in 2003 under Tom Delay when things started going downhill.

PS. I like Austin. No offense but I would rather not live in Amarillo or Abilene.

The red state - blue state thing is a fallacy. The reality is that there are a handful of urban shitholes that overwhelmingly vote democrat, and everyone else. In some states the shitholes are populous enough to overwhelm the normal people who live rurally or in the burbs, in others they’re not. In PA there’s 2 blue dots swimming in a sea of red but it’s still a swing state, but I believe it will be the next Ohio and become ruby red in a decade or so.

Isn’t ECCIE primarily in red states. That’s likely the answer rather than some of the other stupidity.

Besides the fact that it's fucking HILARIOUS that you think you've spent all that time thinking you've established where people live, how do you know? You think people put the actual location on their profile?

The likely truth is, you don't know shit about where people actually live.

Please remember the old theme song for Austin City Limits, Gary P. Nunn's London Homesick Blues. When Gary was sitting in that cold, damp hotel room, belittled and rejected by bloody arrogant Brits, he never longed for Austin. He wanted to be home in a Texas bar in Amarillo or Abilene, surrounded by the people he loved and Republican government!!!
