I think BBC has done a great job covering the story. They recognize the layers of irony in internet subculture with intended and unintended double, even triple meanings. The stuff that makes parsing things like the casings and their messages difficult.

Yes, it's amazing that Lefties here are further castigated as other derogatory terms; incels, betas, and what's funny- is that most of the people are literally same-same as their right leaning friends. Matter of fact, I'd almost say it takes more inner confidence to say you're not part of the RedHat cult in deep red states- ergo not the traits of either Beta's or Incels; but rather folks who aren't afraid to stand up for what they think is right- which is a virtue I like in my friends from either side of the political aisle.
On a different note- i've been seeing a lot of sceptics on the 30.06 round as the round used to shoot kirk- suggesting that the entry and exit would be significantly more pronounced. I've shot a few ground hogs that were almost impossible to tell what animal they were afterwards. If you search through hunting forums the results of that round are not insignificant. Perhaps the round was a glancing one, but we've yet to hear any forensics on the shooting etc. Also- normal exanguination spray patterns are fairly significant and the fact that the white tent didn't bare any of that- suggests that perhaps a smaller caliber. I've shot a few unique .177 rounds that would be more to the way that round impacted and impacted a soft target. a 30.06 and .308 are really a lot alike with the 0.06 having more choices in bullet weight. I've seen some 200+ grain bullets that would have left the target A LOT worse off than the lower weight bullets. As a matter of fact, most deer hunters don't use that heavy of bullet so as to not leave the deer looking like hamburger. Likely a smaller bullet like the .223 at 55 grain- being 1/4 the weight would be less likely to leave giant exit wounds.
Not to be graphic, but typically higher weight bullets have that big knock down power and are much more likely to leave VERY significant wounds vs. what was on CK. Has there been any forensics released on the scene, recovery of the projectile , or even traces of splatter etc. For a scene that had some significant loss of blood- (trying to not be insensitive here) it's shocking that they were able to clean all that up as quickly as they did- and not leave it as a crime scene for a week till they did a full attempt to recover the bullet or if it was still inside the body. I really doubt that it was however, as typical shooting scenes involving bone mass- results in very high exit wound trauma vs. a puncture wound. Respectfully- I just don't see the bullet and caliber reported as being used, relating to the amount of damage done. (if you were significantly wondering what a those bullets can do - you need only go to youtube to google hunting expeditions and I did find this one that has a good explanation of some possibilities.

But, when a bullet hits bone, along with the coroners report, which says the round was stopped by his spine, anything can happen.
When I upgraded calibers to a 300 Weatherby, my butcher and I did autopsies on deer, he'd have like 30 hanging, and we'd look at the calibers on the tags to see which shots did the most damage.
Much to our surprise, slower rounds like 30-30 did far more tissue damage, because the slow bullet expanded and disrupted much more tissue, where the 300 WBY round hit so hard and fast, the projectile hit, went through and exited unless it hit bone, there all bets are off, the bullet becomes a lead grenade, especially lead core, non bonded core rounds like most 30/06 ammo is.
I used Nosler partitions, which have a seperate base, so, the top expands, and the back of the bullet stays solid and retains more weight, allowing the round to be effective even in bone.
All that said, is, it was lucky the shooter didn't use a solid copper round on one that would guaranteed someone getting hit behind him.
I saw two doe shot by one round, through the spine of the first, and into the spine of the 2nd.
All that said, the bullet didn't exit, everything said is only speculation that doesn't change the fact a large portion of our country is defending the incel murderer.

That’s completely dependent on the round. Some bullet designs would go straight through, others are made to tumble and cause as much internal damage as possible. This shot basically grazed him, I’d be surprised if it didn’t come out but don’t think I’ve heard what exactly happened.
