Never hurts to ask. If done respectfully, the masseuse probably won't be offended. She has definitely had that asked before.
In my experience, I have politely asked AFTER numerous sessions, and have been surprised at how many will at least give a HE.

For those interested, Decent therapeutic massage. can be hard to get an appointment to work out because she seems to have a lot going on at home.
