Makes ya wonder how much if this goes on in NY border towns?
Used to think this only happened in Russia, China, North Korea and places like that! Guess things are changing.

Btw, most higher end hotels have security camera systems that include license plate readers at their parking lots.

Keep in mind phones and laptops are fair game now if you get pulled over for secondary inspection.

it's pretty safe to assume that someone, somewhere knows what you are doing most of the time - your secrets are simply insignificant, they do not impact mega-corps/govt in a way that matters. so they let us all continue on... for now

GWN LE actually was using plate readers years before LE started using them down here. Hobby boards up North used to report seeing LE driving through Downer lots scanning plates of vehicles parked there.
