I don’t like using the phrase illegal alien or the word illegals because it dehumanizes a class of people.

The dehumanization of a class of people is often the first step toward violence, oppression, and atrocities such as genocide, as it allows perpetrators to justify mistreatment by viewing the targeted group as less than human.

So please forgive me if I don’t agree that dehumanizing people with false claims that they are killing people on the highways is anything but a damned lie and the perpetuation of this narrative is nothing more than the type of propaganda that has been used for ages to mistreat people.
